Are you now that dense President Carter as to not remember the huge debacles of your term in office. I'll help you out if you wish-- runaway, and I do mean runaway, inflation, which was accompanied with an economic downturn and lead to the new term "stagflation". It was probably the worst economic period in this country for the past 60 years! We were hit with a double, well, actually triple whammy with runaway inflation, a stagnant economy, and huge interest rates. The economy was never managed worse than during your years in the Whitehouse.
President Carter you then had the gas shorages, which were accompanied with huge gas prices, gas rationing, and gas rationing lines all over the country! You botched the whole Iran ituation completely, from sitting back and simply watching the overthrow of the Shah, to sitting around and doing nothing while the religious fanatics started taking control of Iran, to the Iran Hostage Affair, to overseeing the embarassing botched rescue attempt. We looked like incompetent wimps around the world with how you mishandled and mismanaged the entire Iran situation. Note To All Democrats: it is far better to be seen as an incompetent bully (as you constantly try to portray President Bush) than an incompetent wimp! President Carter there is one term that could sum up your entire Presidency - Incompetence. And, now you sit here and tell us you wouldn't change a thing? All we can surmise is that either you have lost your mind or you are smoking crack! Either way, it certainly explains a lot about how you could give a crazy and maniacal dictator, like Kim Jong-il of North Korea, nuclear capabilities and take his word for it that he wouldn't use it to make bombs! Note to former President Carter: the history of this decision shows that you were an idiot! Note To All Democrats: the history of this decision shows that President Clinton was either an idiot or sold out! Kim Jong-il took the technology and almost immediately began using it for purposes of developing nuclear weapon capabilities. He now exports this technology all over the world. Anyone with half of a logical brain not overshadowed by being seen as a "great peace negotiator" would have seen this coming for miles. Your judgement seems to be so impaired by your need to be loved and admired by all.
Your statement also explains a lot about how you can go to Venezuela and support a corrupt, evil and vile dictator and have the nerve to come back and say the election was clean. Chavez, supposedly the elected President of Venezuela, is anything but fair, open and honest. He is a dictator, period. Then to up the ante, you attack the United State's election procedure and question its fairness, when any person with an I.Q. above 50 can tell you that ours is by far the most fair system! Former President Carter it is painfully clear to anyone that is not a partisan fool that you have become a worn out joke.
Former President Carter please do the following for the safety and well being of your country:
- Turn down all requests to assist in world matters (I certainly have no idea why anyone would ask you with your track record). You only make a mess of it and make the US look like fools.
- Stop giving interviews to the press and media (see above for reason)
- Get some professional help
